The SCIFTO design team researched the most when planning the product to present safety and convenience to the driver and passenger in a glance-perceptible way. 

Finally, the design idea of ‘double security’ is established to give ‘users peace of mind and guardians (family members) peace of mind’ and run through it.

   What kind of problems are encountered by some people who have difficulty in travelling? 

Based on the scenarios corresponding to the pain points, what is the optimal solution? The SCIFTO design team puts forward the HANDLE UNIT solution, which proposes the optimal solution from three dimensions.Firstly, there are three ways to get on the car: left, right and front, through the foot pedal and the left and right armrests of the seat can be rotated backward by 90° to meet the needs of different people's habits and physical functions, and to ensure that they can find a safe way to get on the car that suits their needs; secondly, for people with different physical functions, they only need to rotate the armrests of the seat downward by 16°, so that they can drive the mobility scooter under the table, and there is no need to move their bodies to change the seat, and then they can Meet the needs of socialising or working in specific scenarios. The armrests can be rotated down 16° to meet most 73CM table heights, and this design is undoubtedly very friendly to individual users with lower body weaknesses or lower limb injuries; thirdly, it's about the safety handle. The safety handle is mounted on the armrest and is an important part of the HANDLE UNIT (Safety Armrest System). The safety handle not only enhances the user's sense of direction when driving in different road conditions, but also reduces the psychological impact of weightlessness due to centrifugal force by holding the handle tightly when climbing, stopping and descending slopes, so as to enhance the sense of security.
 

The safety handle is SCIFTO's innovation, and the integration of the safety handle into the HANDLE UNIT is the first of its kind in the industry. 

In the product planning stage, SCIFTO team specially invited decades of driving experience car drivers to experience the prototype. The feedback from the old drivers said that there was a sense of centrifugal force when going uphill or downhill, and the right hand holding the joystick was fine, but the left hand was empty and did not know where to hold on to, and once the body shifted due to the centrifugal force, it was very easy to operate the joystick by mistake.The idea of the safety handle came from this. At the same time, some young people in the test drive prototype feedback that the safety handle is like a gamepad, can enhance the overall sense of human-vehicle unity, driving a stronger sense of direction, more precise control. SCIFTO design team listened to the suggestions and verification from many sides, innovatively integrated the safety handle into the HANDLE UNIT (safety armrest system), and at the same time to solve the needs of different user groups.
